Set up Quipthread Cloud

Quipthread Cloud is the managed version of Quipthread. You get a fully hosted backend — no server to run, no binary to build.

Go to app.quipthread.com/signup. The Hobby plan is free and requires no credit card.

2. Create your first site

After you sign in, the onboarding wizard asks for your website’s domain, such as myblog.com. Enter it and select Continue. The next step shows your Site ID and an embed snippet for your framework.

You can select Skip for now and add a site later from the Sites page.

3. Add the embed snippet

Copy the snippet from the onboarding wizard, or later from the Preview page in the dashboard, and paste it into any page where you want comments. Place the <div> where the widget should appear, then add the <script> tag:

Replace YOUR_SITE_ID with the ID from the dashboard, and set data-page-id to a unique string per page (e.g. the post slug or URL path). Use the script address supplied by the dashboard.

4. Moderate comments

A commenter’s first comment on your site waits in the moderation queue. Open the Comments page in the dashboard to approve, reject, or reply. After you approve someone once, their later comments on that site go live immediately.

Monthly posting and site limits are enforced for each plan. When you reach a limit, upgrade from Billing or wait for the monthly posting allowance to reset. Existing comments remain available. New comments, replies, and imports use this allowance; deleting comments does not restore it. Limits reset on the first day of each month at 00:00 UTC. The Billing page shows your current usage and allowance.
