Docker includes the app, dashboard, and migration tools. If you need to build from source, follow the source-build guide.
A self-hosted instance serves one site and includes moderation, blocked terms, Turnstile bot protection, import, JSON and CSV export, and SMTP email notifications. Analytics, multiple sites, and team members are available on Quipthread Cloud.
Add comments to your website
Section titled “Add comments to your website”Create a site in the dashboard and copy its embed snippet into your page. The embed guide explains the required attributes; themes control its appearance.
Manage your comments
Section titled “Manage your comments”- Moderation: approve, reject, edit, reply, and review flagged comments.
- Import and export: move comments between platforms.
- Security and spam: manage abuse and bot protection.
- Notifications: receive moderation digests by email.
If you self-host, set up backups and restore before relying on the instance.
